Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test and maintain runtime platform components in modern C++ for embedded vehicle compute.
- Profile and investigate CPU, memory, latency, scheduling, I/O and IPC issues across software layers.
- Build observability, tracing and crash diagnostics for remote vehicle compute and fleet-level monitoring.
- Improve developer workflows for building, deploying, testing and troubleshooting onboard services.
- Collaborate with application, platform, hardware and operations teams on performance, reliability and APIs.
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, testing strategy and platform roadmaps.
Requirements:
- Strong modern C++ experience and solid systems programming fundamentals (processes, threads, memory, scheduling, networking, IPC).
- Experience debugging complex performance and reliability issues across stacks and layers.
- Background building production software for embedded, robotics, automotive, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux or QNX, IPC/middleware patterns, and real-time or near-real-time constraints.
- Experience with profiling/tracing tools, performance optimisation, and building runtime diagnostics and observability.
- Collaborative mindset and focus on clean interfaces, automated testing and developer experience.
