Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate platforms, tooling and infrastructure that support Flexion’s AI and robot deployment stack.
- Expand internal deployment tooling and customer-facing APIs/SDKs for managing, monitoring and integrating robots at scale.
- Lead projects end-to-end: scoping, design, implementation, rollout and long-term ownership.
- Drive architecture and reliability through design reviews, code reviews and engineering standards (testing, docs, observability).
- Partner with research, robotics and deployment teams to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable systems.
- Promote AI-assisted developer tooling and improve engineering productivity across teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant professional experience owning production software projects and influencing cross-team technical decisions.
- Proficiency in Python and substantial experience with at least one compiled language (C++, Go or Rust).
- Strong software architecture skills: modular, testable and scalable system design; solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization and building reliable backend services.
- Track record delivering complex projects with measurable impact and maintaining long-term operational ownership.
