Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a team (~7) of systems engineers responsible for global core infrastructure (bare-metal, VMs, containers and network).
- Set and own the technical direction for systems management, IaC implementation and operational best practices.
- Oversee delivery methods, streamline processes and ensure reliable deployment and runbook practices across regions.
- Mentor engineers, run performance reviews, drive hiring decisions and foster a balanced, productive team culture.
- Remove technical and organisational roadblocks, collaborate with product teams, and drive improvements in uptime and scalability.
- Manage incident response escalations, post-incident reviews and long-term resilience planning.

Requirements:
- Proven experience leading infrastructure or systems teams in distributed, high-availability environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD/GitHub Actions).
- Practical experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or similar).
- Familiarity with databases, messaging systems and bare-metal/cloud operations.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills with experience in performance and delivery management.
- Ability to operate across time zones and travel or coordinate with international teams as required.
