Responsibilities:
- Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and backend business logic using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Model data and implement database schemas, queries, row-level security, and real-time features using Supabase/PostgreSQL.
- Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred): Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, Pub/Sub.
- Write clean, testable code and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests (e.g., Jest); participate in code reviews.
- Apply Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles to ensure maintainability and security-by-design.
- Implement observability: logging, monitoring, and alerting; own incident response and uptime improvements.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and SRE teams to drive architecture decisions and mentor peers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Solid experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-based backends and data modeling.
- Hands-on with cloud-native development and serverless deployments (GCP Cloud Run/Functions or equivalents).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience designing scalable, secure APIs and microservices; good communication and collaboration skills.
