Responsibilities:
- Design and execute tests for backend systems: APIs, service integrations, and database interactions.
- Validate REST/GraphQL endpoints for correctness, performance, and error handling using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Test database queries, migrations, and data integrity on PostgreSQL (or equivalent RDBMS).
- Develop and maintain automated backend test suites (unit, integration, E2E) and regression suites.
- Review PRs with engineers to verify test coverage and catch regressions early.
- Participate in infrastructure and reliability reviews to identify performance or scalability risks.
- Log, track, and communicate defects and test results using TestRail or similar test-management tools.
Requirements:
- ~2–3 years experience in backend testing, QA, or development-in-test roles.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating queries and data integrity in PostgreSQL.
- Practical API testing experience with Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with test automation principles and frameworks; ability to write maintainable automated tests.
- Good collaboration and communication skills to work closely with developers and product teams.
