Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute backend test strategies: API, integration, database, and regression tests.
- Validate REST APIs for correctness and performance using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Test data integrity, queries, and schema changes in PostgreSQL or comparable databases.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD workflows.
- Review code and pull requests for test coverage, reliability, and edge cases.
- Log and track defects, maintain test documentation, and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
- Contribute to infrastructure reviews to surface potential reliability or performance issues.
Requirements:
- ~2–3 years of experience in backend QA, testing, or development-focused QA roles.
- Practical experience with Node.js and TypeScript backend stacks.
- Solid SQL skills and experience testing PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with REST API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and test management systems (TestRail or similar).
- Experience creating automated test suites and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective cross-functional communication.
