Responsibilities:
- Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for backend services and APIs.
- Validate REST API behavior and performance using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Test database queries, data integrity, and migrations in PostgreSQL or equivalent relational DBs.
- Create and maintain automated test suites for backend components and CI pipelines.
- Review pull requests for test coverage and collaborate with developers on fixes.
- Document test cases, defects, and results in test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
- Participate in infrastructure reviews to identify reliability or performance risks.
Requirements:
- ~2–3 years of backend testing or development-in-test experience.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript environments.
- Strong familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL database testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Experience building or maintaining automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD.
- Good attention to detail, debugging skills, and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
