Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow an engineering team responsible for customer lifecycle domains (Personal Master Data, Tax & Exemption Orders, Power of Attorney).
- Partner with HR to drive recruitment, onboarding and retention of engineering hires.
- Complete operational and development handover for Person APIs so the team owns services end-to-end.
- Align team, Product Owner and business stakeholders to autonomously manage top priorities and dependencies.
- Maintain team momentum: implement structured learning paths, provide regular coaching, and minimise voluntary attrition.
- Provide active technical leadership through system design, architecture discussions and high-value code reviews.
- Balance feature delivery with technical initiatives (defect fixes, debt reduction, refactoring) and ensure regulatory constraints are addressed.

Requirements:
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and hiring/talent development in complex organisations.
- Strong technical background (system design, microservices, Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, reactive/MVC paradigms) and hands-on credibility.
- Experience operating services on cloud platforms (AWS) and addressing performance, reliability and compliance needs.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and ability to prioritise strategic trade-offs with POs.
- Experience mentoring engineers, defining learning paths, and sustaining team health and psychological safety.
- Familiarity with code review practices, technical debt management and regulatory/industry compliance considerations.
