About the role

Responsibilities:
- Line-manage engineers across up to three development teams: set goals, give feedback and drive performance improvements.
- Ensure predictable delivery of high-quality SaaS software: manage risks, dependencies and release cadence.
- Assess and challenge technical decisions to maintain reliability, scalability and maintainability of the platform.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, processes and tool adoption across teams.
- Identify skill gaps and deliver coaching, career development and hiring support to build strong, autonomous teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with business priorities.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an engineering manager or similar people-lead role (3+ years preferred) with responsibility for multiple teams.
- Strong software engineering background and technical judgment; familiarity with .NET on Azure is a plus.
- Good knowledge of agile ways of working and experience improving delivery processes and technical quality.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for mentoring engineers, reducing technical debt and driving measurable improvements in team performance.
