Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the browser rendering layer for IVION (Three.js, WebGL, shaders, rendering pipelines for point clouds, splats, meshes and panoramas).
- Optimize visual quality and performance via LOD strategies, occlusion culling, adaptive refinement and GPU memory management.
- Improve streaming and runtime efficiency through tiling, compression, caching and spatial indexing.
- Collaborate with C++ data processing, backend services and storage teams to align data formats and interfaces.
- Research and prototype modern techniques (WebGPU, compute shaders, WebAssembly) to shape future renderer architecture.
- Define performance standards and ensure reliable rendering across diverse hardware and corporate browser constraints.
Requirements:
- Strong, demonstrable experience with web real-time graphics (WebGL2, Three.js, GLSL) and custom rendering pipelines.
- Solid 3D math and spatial algorithm knowledge (transforms, projections, BVH/octrees, LOD design).
- Experience optimizing GPU performance, memory usage and shader code at scale for point-cloud/mesh workflows.
- Familiarity with data streaming, compression and progressive loading for large spatial datasets.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-stack; experience with C++, Rust or WebAssembly is a plus.
- Strong debugging, benchmarking and performance-profiling skills and clear technical communication.
