About the role
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain backend services (Java/Spring) and frontend features (TypeScript/Angular) for NavVis IVION.
- Implement APIs and integrations that support 3D visualization, mapping and data management workflows.
- Contribute to the PostgreSQL/PostGIS data model and performance improvements for geospatial data.
- Collaborate closely with product, design and other engineers to ship reliable, user-focused features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing and performance tuning to uphold engineering quality.
- Support knowledge sharing within the squad and help improve team practices.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
- Strong Java, Spring and Hibernate skills; familiarity with modern web app architectures.
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and a framework (Angular preferred, but React/Vue acceptable).
- Practical knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and building scalable services.
- Experience with APIs/SDKs and working in cross-functional teams to deliver features.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Bonus: exposure to C++, AWS, geospatial data processing or 3D/WebGL development.
