Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve Tango’s Android app using Java and Kotlin.
- Implement new features, custom UI components, complex layouts and animations.
- Ensure code quality: write readable unit tests, follow OOP and design patterns, and perform code reviews.
- Diagnose and fix performance issues: use profiling tools, address memory leaks and multithreading bottlenecks.
- Integrate and maintain dependency injection (Dagger2) and collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently when required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years commercial Android development experience with strong Java/Kotlin skills.
- Solid knowledge of OOP principles, design patterns, custom UI, animations, and multithreading.
- Experience using profiling tools to find/fix bottlenecks and memory leaks; ability to write unit tests.
- Familiarity with Dagger2; English at least pre-intermediate and ability to work independently.
- Nice to have: reactive/functional approaches, UI tests, Compose, Kotlin Flows, coroutines.
