About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) for Java-based products.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Ansible and IaC patterns.
- Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (CNIs, Services, Ingress, NetworkPolicies, DNS, load balancers).
- Package and deploy services with Helm/helm-file; optimize container images and runtimes (containerd, CRI-O, distroless).
- Implement and maintain observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, VictoriaMetrics, ELK, and OpenTelemetry tracing.
- Profile and troubleshoot applications and JVMs using perf, pprof, heap dumps and JVM tooling.
- Manage secrets and CI/CD security (Vault, Sealed Secrets, SonarQube); participate in incident response and on-call rotations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools in Go, Python, Bash, Groovy; contribute Terraform where applicable.

Requirements:
- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE roles supporting production Java microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, CNIs, networking and cluster troubleshooting.
- Proven use of Helm, helm-file and Ansible in production environments.
- Practical experience with GitLab CI and Jenkins pipelines.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge and containerization best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry).
- Experience with secrets management (Vault, Sealed Secrets) and basic CI/CD security practices.
- Proficient scripting in Go, Python and Bash; strong networking troubleshooting skills (tcpdump, traceroute, netstat).
- Understanding of microservices patterns, event-driven systems and support for incident/on-call processes.
- Nice to have: Terraform, service mesh exposure (Istio/Linkerd), eBPF/Cilium/Calico, JVM profiling tools.
