Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain backend services and APIs in Go for core product flows.
- Deliver scalable, reliable microservices for high-load transaction processing.
- Optimize data models and queries in PostgreSQL and manage caching with Redis.
- Build and operate deployments on Kubernetes running in Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and release processes (GitLab CI).
- Monitor performance, add observability (metrics, logging, tracing) and respond to incidents.
- Integrate and maintain third-party APIs and partner integrations.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews; propose improvements for resilience and cost.
- Mentor engineers, perform code reviews and raise engineering quality standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years backend engineering experience; at least 2 years production experience with Golang.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices patterns and designing for high-load.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (query tuning, schema design) and Redis (caching, data structures).
- Practical experience operating services on Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and building robust error-handling/retry logic.
- Solid testing practices (unit/integration) and focus on writing maintainable, testable code.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote, cross‑functional team.
