(Senior) Backend Software Engineer (all genders) - Vehicle Perception at MOIA GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Build and operate backend services that bridge in-vehicle components and AWS-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS IoT, Chime for video, Lambda, S3).
- Design and implement reliable live video pipelines, operator communication channels and real-time event flows for cabin awareness.
- Implement robust, production-ready functions that meet automotive safety and quality constraints.
- Participate across the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates, vendors and VW Group partners to define interfaces and integrate hardware/software.

Requirements:
- Practical backend development experience with TypeScript or another modern server-side language.
- Experience with AWS services and serverless patterns (AWS IoT, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3) and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of Linux/system development and production service operation.
- Familiarity with streaming/video pipelines, real-time messaging and system reliability concerns.
- Agile mindset, hands-on approach, ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional team; interest in automotive standards is a plus.
