Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end features for partner pricing, billing and reconciliation services.
- Build and extend reconciliation systems to ensure accurate partner billing and financial controls.
- Implement automated controls and auditability to support compliance and financial integrity.
- Work with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and databases (MongoDB, MariaDB) to deliver scalable, auditable systems.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and improvements in reliability, observability and security.
- Own production behaviour, participate in incident response and drive predictable delivery.
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and proven track record delivering impactful backend projects.
- Experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language and sound system design skills.
- Experience designing reliable, scalable systems with attention to observability, security and testing.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka) and databases like MongoDB and MariaDB is desirable.
- Ability to take ownership across the full lifecycle of services, including on-call and incident resolution.
- Experience in payments, billing, or regulated finance is a plus but not required.
