About the role

Responsibilities:
- Define, own, and evolve enterprise-grade data architectures aligned to client objectives.
- Design cloud-native data platforms, semantic layers, integration patterns, and data models.
- Create and enforce governance standards, modelling guidelines, blueprints, and reusable components.
- Advise senior stakeholders and act as a trusted technical partner on data strategy and architectural decisions.
- Drive adoption of medallion architectures, metadata-driven design, and CI/CD for data delivery.
- Share technical insights, mentor engineering teams, and promote best practices across projects.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience delivering data architectures in large-scale enterprise or transformation programs.
- Proven expertise with cloud platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS) and modern data platform components.
- Strong background in data modelling (Kimball, 3NF, Data Vault, dimensional modelling) and analytics engineering principles.
- Knowledge of data orchestration, metadata management, unity catalog (or similar), lineage, and governance.
- Experience designing medallion/gold-layer models for analytics and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cost optimisation.
- Consultancy experience or domain knowledge (financial services, telecoms, retail, healthcare) and architecture certifications are advantageous.

Advise clients and senior stakeholders on data strategy, establish architectural standards, and guide engineering teams in delivering consistent, high-quality solutions.

Requires extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale data architectures and expertise with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and AWS, as well as data modeling, governance, metadata, and medallion architectures. Candidates should be able to advise clients, guide cross-functional teams, and understand cloud cost optimization; experience with consultancy, architecture certifications, BI models, or enterprise data management tools is advantageous.
