Responsibilities:
- Lead design, migration, and implementation of enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and comparable cloud-native technologies.
- Architect and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to support governed, scalable analytics and AI use cases.
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines: ingestion, transformation (Spark/Delta Lake), orchestration, storage, quality checks, and monitoring.
- Develop solutions across Fabric components (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Semantic Models) and enable Power BI reporting.
- Ensure data governance, security, lineage, and observability are embedded in pipelines and platform designs.
- Collaborate with consultants, product owners, and client stakeholders in agile engagements; produce technical documentation and architecture decisions.
- Mentor team members and promote DataOps, testing, and repeatable deployment practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or similar and professional proficiency in English.
- 5+ years in data engineering, platform development, or data architecture; minimum 2 years hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience across the data lifecycle.
- Proven delivery of Medallion Architecture and production Lakehouse/Warehouse solutions.
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake for scalable transformations.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI integration for analytics and reporting.
- Familiarity with data governance, monitoring, data quality, and security practices in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Strong communication skills, client-facing experience, and the ability to document and defend architectural choices.
