About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test, and maintain backend services and features using Ruby on Rails.
- Own technical delivery for projects: drive solution design, planning, implementation and deployment.
- Build and evolve RESTful APIs with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and Security to deliver production-ready software.
- Lead code reviews, champion automated testing, documentation, and sound engineering practices.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help improve team processes and standards.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong hands-on Ruby on Rails expertise.
- Solid understanding of REST API design, SQL and data modeling for production systems.
- Experience with cloud deployments, CI/CD, containerization and DevOps practices (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with microservices or service-oriented architectures and their trade-offs.
- Comfortable with Git workflows, code reviews and mentoring responsibilities.
- Clear communicator able to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable SaaS applications using Ruby on Rails while owning technical delivery for major projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve backend architecture and mentor other engineers to improve technical execution.

Requirements

Requires 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong mastery of Ruby on Rails and RESTful API development. Candidates should have a solid understanding of SQL, distributed systems, and experience working within DevOps environments.
