Software Engineer, Back-End (LLM Agents) at Superhuman

Responsibilities:
- Design and build LLM-powered, agentic features end-to-end: services, protocols, and data flows.
- Ship quickly: iterate in short cycles, deploy changes early, and learn from user behavior.
- Ensure production-grade reliability and low-latency at high call rates for consumer and enterprise users.
- Collaborate across stack boundaries (client, shared protocols, infra) when product needs demand it.
- Make trade-offs on cost, latency, and quality specific to AI workloads; own feature lifecycle.
- Instrument, monitor, and support services in production; participate in incident resolution.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong system design and production service ownership.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Go, Python) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience or strong interest in LLM/agentic systems, inference patterns, and AI-related infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of scalability, latency optimization, and reliability engineering for high-throughput services.
- Comfortable estimating scope, making technical trade-offs, and shipping with minimal supervision.
- Must be based in Berlin (role requires Berlin-based hybrid working).
