About the role

Responsibilities:
- Convert research prototypes and numerical models into production-grade software and repeatable deployments.
- Design and implement architecture, modular code boundaries, and reusable components shared across products.
- Build CI/CD, reproducible environments, testing frameworks (including numerical tests), and GPU-enabled development workflows.
- Deliver first customer deployments, including air-gapped or isolated environments for government/defence clients.
- Profile and optimise performance of numerical code alongside physicists and ML engineers; identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.

Requirements:
- Solid software engineering experience with Python (JAX) and C++ and familiarity with numerical computing practices.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/EC2), container tooling (Docker), orchestration/CI systems, and GPU workflows.
- Practical knowledge of building reproducible environments, testing numerical code, and CI/CD for scientific workloads.
- Ability to collaborate directly with scientists and ML engineers; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Security-minded when designing deployments for isolated customer environments; adaptable to hands-on productisation work.

Responsibilities
