Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and optimise the Fashion Store GraphQL API and related developer tools for performance, reliability and low integration effort.
- Own features end-to-end: design, implement, deploy, monitor and support ("you build it, you run it").
- Improve developer experience and stakeholder workflows (resolver support, PR/process improvements, Qkeep tooling).
- Collaborate with product, frontend and backend teams to connect frontend requests to microservices while keeping the API simple and cost-efficient.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response; contribute to monitoring, observability and runbook improvements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years backend experience with strong Node.js and GraphQL skills; experience with resolver implementations in microservice environments.
- Solid understanding of system fundamentals: caching, security, CI/CD, Kubernetes and modern deployment tooling.
- Experience with service ownership, deployment pipelines and production monitoring; familiarity with feature flagging/experimentation is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Go is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to join on-call rota (~once every 2 months), strong collaboration skills and focus on developer productivity.
