Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver backend services that power the Card checkout and in‑app experiences.
- Break down projects into deliverable tasks and ship in phases with support from tech leads and managers.
- Collaborate with product, design and analytics to define requirements and trade-offs.
- Maintain operational readiness: create and monitor metrics, participate in on-call rotation, and support incident response.
- Debug, review and improve code across the codebase; participate in hiring and team growth activities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and experience launching backend systems.
- Familiarity with distributed system concepts and tools such as AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
- Strong debugging, code-review and engineering communication skills.
- Ability to design clean, tested and extensible solutions that interact with multiple components.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and operational support.
