Responsibilities:
- Break down larger projects into deliverable tasks and implement features iteratively with your team.
- Collaborate with product, design and analytics to clarify requirements, surface technical constraints and propose trade-offs.
- Maintain operational reliability: create and monitor service metrics, respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
- Write clear, well-tested, maintainable backend code and perform thorough code reviews for peers.
- Contribute to team growth through interviews, knowledge sharing and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience with backend systems; proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and technologies (AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging, testing and code-review skills and comfort navigating a large codebase.
- Good communication skills to work with globally distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and take ownership of operational SLAs.
