Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain internal tools used by engineering, research and customer teams (admin consoles, deployment/support tooling, data utilities).
- Develop and operate backend services and clear, documented APIs that support the product.
- Automate repetitive engineering and ops tasks (CI/CD checks, release gates, onboarding flows).
- Improve reliability and security through testing, code review, monitoring, and incident investigation.
- Introduce and manage AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly: review, test and verify all generated changes.
- Provide visibility (logs, metrics, dashboards) and actionable diagnostics for owned services.
Requirements:
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging and testing with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Practical experience building APIs and working with databases and backend services.
- Comfortable with automation, CI/CD, and deployment tooling.
- Judgement using AI coding assistants: know when to trust and when to verify outputs.
- Clear communicator able to break down ambiguous problems and own delivery quality.
- Nice-to-have: experience in internal platforms, developer tooling, access controls or security-sensitive systems; knowledge of Montenegrin/Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian is a plus.
