Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain automated functional, performance and stability test suites in Python (pytest) for the game client and backend services.
- Build and maintain core automation framework components and CI/CD integration (Jenkins/TeamCity).
- Plan and execute load and profiling tests (k6 and profiling tools), analyze results and investigate performance regressions.
- Collect and analyze logs/metrics (Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus where applicable) to pinpoint bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with QA, dev and operations teams to propose and validate performance improvements; document findings and test artifacts.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates and contribute to test infrastructure design.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in performance testing or performance QA and 3+ years in automation QA roles.
- 1+ year commercial experience writing Python-based automated tests (pytest) and building performance test suites.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing and profiling tools (k6, profilers) and understanding of PC architecture (CPU/GPU/memory/disk I/O).
- Familiarity with performance metrics (FPS, frame time, CPU/GPU utilization, memory) and methods to quantify regressions.
- Experience with log collection/analysis (Elasticsearch) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, TeamCity).
- Strong testing methodology knowledge and upper-intermediate (B2+) English.
Preferred (nice to have):
- Game engine or game development experience (Unreal/Unity), Python profiling/optimization (cProfile), pandas/NumPy for analysis, Docker, monitoring stacks, PostgreSQL performance tuning, Linux systems and mentoring experience.
