Responsibilities:
- Own well-scoped ML projects end-to-end: data exploration, feature engineering, modelling and deployment.
- Deliver production-ready solutions for financial crime prevention and credit risk that reach customers.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers and product managers to prioritise customer value.
- Review code, pair-program and share knowledge to support junior colleagues.
- Experiment with new tech stacks and prototype ideas where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative discipline (math, statistics, CS) and 2–4 years practical ML experience.
- At least one model shipped to production; experience in banking, fraud or credit risk is a plus.
- Hands-on with classification/regression (e.g., CatBoost, XGBoost, LightGBM), time-series (ARIMA/Prophet) and unsupervised methods (clustering, anomaly detection).
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, imbalanced data handling, validation strategies and calibration.
- Proficient in Python and SQL; familiarity with Docker, CI/CD and GitHub Actions for shipping/maintaining code.
- Basic familiarity with deep learning concepts and at least one framework (TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch).
- Organised, self-motivated, able to progress independently and collaborate; English professional proficiency.
