Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Access Team at N26

About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate systems that govern human and service access to AWS with least-privilege defaults.
- Manage and scale Teleport (or equivalent) infrastructure for secure access to servers, databases and Kubernetes clusters.
- Build and maintain automated IAM workflows, JIT provisioning, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- Integrate access controls into infrastructure provisioning and collaborate with Cloud Control to embed security policies.
- Maintain Terraform IaC for access components, create monitors/alerts for access patterns, and support audits with technical evidence.
- Investigate and remediate permission gaps; participate in incident response for authentication/authorization issues.

Requirements:
- Production experience with AWS IAM, Organizations and multi-account access patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Teleport or similar PAM/JIT solutions and with Terraform for IaC.
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals (OIDC, SAML, SSH, TLS, TCP/IP) and familiarity with RBAC in container platforms.
- Experience automating with Go and/or Python to create reproducible authorization workflows.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and ability to translate audit requirements into technical controls.
- Security-first mindset, autonomy, strong communication skills and experience operating in fast-paced environments.
