Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a software engineering team building Lindus’s clinical trial platform; hire, mentor, and set clear goals.
- Drive product delivery with strong engineering practices: sprint planning, backlog grooming, release and risk management.
- Collaborate with Product, Clinical Ops, and Compliance to ensure features meet regulatory and user needs.
- Ensure high code quality, testing, and observability for production systems used in clinical trials.
- Act as a hands-on manager who can contribute occasional non-critical coding to stay technically grounded.
- Foster a collaborative, no-ego culture and support cross-functional team coordination.
- Support recruitment and onboarding; help the team scale while maintaining engineering standards.

Requirements:
- 2+ years hands-on software engineering experience and 2+ years as a line manager of engineers.
- Strong communicator and coach: gives direct feedback, resolves conflicts, and motivates teams.
- Product-minded: able to understand user/clinical needs and translate them into delivery plans.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup with shifting priorities and broad responsibilities.
- Familiarity with React/TypeScript and Django/Python (or similar stacks) is desirable.
- Experience working in regulated environments or with clinical/healthcare products is a plus.
- Willingness to work onsite/hybrid in London (initial onboarding on-site; typically 2+ days/week thereafter).
