Graduate Software Engineer at Optiver

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to low-latency trading systems that react to live markets with speed and reliability.
- Collaborate daily with traders, researchers, risk analysts and other engineers to define requirements and deliver production-ready features.
- Design, implement and optimise simple, well-architected code focusing on performance, correctness and maintainability.
- Drive improvements in concurrency, memory usage and system-level behavior across CPU/OS boundaries.
- Participate in Global Academy onboarding and work with a mentor to accelerate impact.
- Write tests, documentation and monitoring to ensure operational stability.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Graduating between Aug 2024 and Aug 2027 or up to 3 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in at least one industry language (C++, Python, or Java) and strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency models, memory and CPU architecture, and operating systems.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to clean code and system design.
- Ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
