Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test and maintain scalable, production-grade microservices using Java and the Spring stack.
- Own multiple domains end-to-end: design, development, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents; implement fixes and preventive measures to minimise user impact.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects and engineers to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver features.
- Improve development processes, code quality, automated testing and system reliability.
- Write clean, well-documented code with adequate unit, integration and functional test coverage.
- Contribute to evolution of microservice architecture and support legacy systems during migration.
- Leverage AI tools and agents to scale personal and team productivity.

Requirements:
- 5+ years professional software development experience with Java (Java 8+ features: lambdas, streams, optionals, records).
- Strong Java core knowledge: collections, multithreading, concurrency and streams API.
- Proven experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Spring Data (JPA/JDBC).
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems (Apache Kafka) and distributed systems patterns.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience writing automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers and WireMock.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins) and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
- Good troubleshooting, debugging, and on-call incident handling skills.
