Responsibilities:
- Lead design, build and maintenance of enterprise backend systems using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot.
- Own technical direction: define coding standards, architecture patterns, development practices and engineering best practices.
- Conduct and lead code reviews, ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and performant.
- Mentor and grow senior and working-level developers; foster a high-quality engineering culture.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to align implementation with roadmap and non-functional requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while staying hands-on in development.
Requirements:
- 10+ years professional software development experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
- Proven technical leadership experience delivering microservices and cloud-native solutions.
- Practical knowledge of RESTful APIs, messaging platforms (Kafka/RabbitMQ), persistence (JPA/Hibernate), and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and IaC practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and mentoring experience in agile delivery environments.
