Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain backend services in the Order domain (shipping, delivery, resolutions, payouts).
- Ensure transactional integrity, reliability and scalability for post-purchase flows; aim for high availability and strong observability.
- Collaborate with product, decision science and cross-functional engineers to balance compliance (e.g. DAC7), business goals and user experience.
- Extract and evolve services, participate in code reviews, testing, CI and on-call rotations.
- Mentor teammates, contribute to architecture decisions and improve engineering delivery through Agile/Lean practices.

Requirements:
- Senior-level backend experience with production systems; strong competence in Ruby and/or Go and distributed system design.
- Practical experience with MySQL, Redis, message-driven workflows and orchestration tools (e.g. Temporal) preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana) and automated testing strategies.
- Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs in ambiguous regulatory and product contexts; strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and support deployment and incident response.
