Responsibilities:
- Deliver applied data science for impact evaluation and behavioural insight projects based from the Brussels office (hybrid working supported).
- Prepare and analyse complex, messy datasets: cleaning, EDA, feature engineering and reproducible workflows.
- Conduct statistical modelling and causal inference using quasiexperimental approaches (DiD, matching, regression designs) and assess validity threats.
- Develop and test AI-supported analytic workflows that respect evaluation standards and methodological rigour.
- Draft analytical content for reports and proposals; present findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Work closely with policy researchers, evaluators and technical colleagues across multiple projects.

Requirements:
- Strong quantitative background in data science, statistics, economics, behavioural science, psychology or related social science.
- Professional experience applying quantitative methods in policy, impact evaluation, consulting or applied research contexts.
- Proficiency in Python and experience creating reproducible analytical pipelines.
- Practical knowledge of causal methods and counterfactual reasoning; hands-on experience with DiD, regression-based designs or matching.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder-facing reporting and technical collaboration.
- Desirable: experience with generative AI, behavioural science applications and international/multidisciplinary teams.
