About the role

Responsibilities:
- Lead applied data science work on public policy and evaluation projects, handling multiple workstreams.
- Clean, explore, and transform messy real-world datasets; perform feature engineering and reproducible analysis.
- Design and run statistical and causal analyses (e.g., diff-in-diff, regression-based designs, matching).
- Develop, test, and document AI-supported analytic workflows aligned with good evaluation practice.
- Draft analytical sections of reports and proposals; present results clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with policy researchers, evaluators, and technical colleagues; mentor junior analysts.

Requirements:
- Strong quantitative background in data science, statistics, economics, behavioural science, psychology, or related social science.
- Professional experience applying quantitative methods in policy analysis, impact evaluation, consulting, or applied research.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and experience building reproducible analytical workflows.
- Practical knowledge of causal inference and counterfactual reasoning; experience with quasi‑experimental methods (difference‑in‑differences, regression designs, matching) and threats to validity.
- Experience incorporating behavioural or social science insights into study design, analysis, or interpretation.
- Good technical communication skills and ability to critically assess analytical outputs.
