Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve ML and AI pipelines for outlet-data products: matching, classification, embeddings, image recognition and related services.
- Design, implement and run LLM components in production (enrichment, classification, entity matching), treating prompt design as part of system design.
- Select appropriate methods (classical ML, LLMs, rules) balancing accuracy, cost and latency for each problem.
- Define evaluation strategies and quality metrics to ensure trustworthiness comparable to rule-based systems.
- Work closely with data engineers to move proofs-of-concept into production and maintain scalable data workflows.
- Write production-quality code, monitor model performance and identify new product opportunities from the data lake.
Requirements:
- Degree in a quantitative field (BSc/MS) and ~5+ years of hands-on data science/ML experience.
- Strong Python skills and practical experience with Spark/PySpark or similar big-data tools.
- Proven experience deploying LLMs or modern AI components to production; prompt engineering experience preferred.
- Familiarity with evaluation, metrics, entity matching and classical NLP/ML techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and production model hosting.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, produce maintainable code and guide end-to-end system design.
