Responsibilities:
- Own architecture, development, deployment, and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling.
- Lead multi-quarter technical projects: define scope, set milestones, and deliver measurable iterations.
- Build and operate systems for developer productivity, CI/CD, observability, testing infrastructure, code-quality automation, and engineering metrics.
- Lead adoption and effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality.
- Define technical direction and design scalable, maintainable solutions for platform needs.
- Partner with engineering leadership on roadmap, strategy, and trade-off decisions.
- Mentor engineers through design collaboration, code reviews, and technical coaching.
- Take ownership of operational health: monitoring, incident response, improvements, and safe deprecation of services.
- Ensure external integrations and SaaS connections are secure, reliable, and developer-friendly.
Requirements:
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years operating at Senior or Staff level (or equivalent proven experience).
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability/metrics systems, testing infrastructure, or code-quality automation.
- Demonstrated impact delivering tooling or infrastructure that measurably improves developer productivity, reliability, or delivery speed.
- Excellent backend engineering and system design skills, with API and SaaS integration experience.
- Experience owning production systems and using metrics and feedback to drive improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, clear communication, and ability to work autonomously on long-term initiatives.
- Emphasis on security, maintainability, and an excellent developer experience.
