Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise in-vehicle software running on ECUs (feature development, bug fixes, performance improvements).
- Extend and improve fleet monitoring, logging and metrics systems to track vehicle state and health.
- Own core platform capabilities (Remote Access, Provisioning, OTA updates) and ensure reliable operation at scale.
- Lead cybersecurity practices, tooling, and alignment with base software suppliers and partners.
- Collaborate with VW Group, vendors and cross-functional teams to define interfaces and integration requirements.
- Mentor engineers, provide embedded engineering expertise, and influence development processes and standards.
- Participate in full lifecycle activities: design, implementation, testing (SiL/HiL), CI/CD and maintenance.

Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or similar technical qualification.
- Strong C++ (C++11/14+), Python and Bash skills.
- Practical knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (MQTT, SOME/IP) and networking (TCP/IP, IPv6, VLANs, SOCKS).
- Experience integrating SiL/HiL testing into CI/CD pipelines and working with automotive-quality processes.
- Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO26262 and homologation or experience in safety-critical/high-reliability domains.
- Proven ability to work proactively in agile, cross-functional teams and to align with external stakeholders.
