Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a group of Engineering Managers and directly manage a small London-based squad, building a local engineering presence.
- Own strategic, cross-cutting engineering initiatives: define scope, align stakeholders and drive delivery across squads and tribes.
- Define and raise tribe-wide standards for observability, incident response, security, AI workflows and other engineering practices.
- Act as senior escalation point for production incidents and complex technical challenges; ensure follow-through on remediation.
- Partner with InfoSec, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure systems and processes are regulatory and audit-ready.
- Participate in hiring, talent reviews and serve as a bar raiser for technical recruitment.

Requirements:
- Proven experience managing Engineering Managers in multi-squad, complex organisations with strong coaching and performance management skills.
- Solid technical background (backend or full-stack) with enough hands-on credibility to influence technical decisions.
- Track record owning cross-functional or cross-tribe initiatives that influenced organisational technology direction.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, communicating to technical and non-technical audiences, and prioritising under shifting constraints.
- Experience working within regulated environments (finance, healthtech or similar) and meeting audit/compliance requirements.
