Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer / Technical Lead at RemoteStar

Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and technical direction across backend, web, mobile and infrastructure for a consumer finance product.
- Design, build and ship core product features with a focus on security, reliability, scalability and data integrity.
- Set engineering standards: code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring and production reliability.
- Mentor and grow engineers, conduct reviews, and make pragmatic technical trade-offs.
- Work closely with founders, Product and Design to turn product goals into executable engineering plans.
- Own cross-stack outcomes and participate hands-on in implementation, deployment and incident response.

Requirements:
- 7–10 years of engineering experience with strong backend and system design skills.
- Proficiency in Python (FastAPI preferred) or comparable backend languages (Go/Java) and comfort with frontend stacks (React + TypeScript).
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, containers, CI/CD and observability.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring and ability to make architecture decisions in early-stage companies.
- Comfortable working on-site in San Francisco and able to handle fast-paced, high-impact responsibilities; visa support available.
