Senior Node.js Developer at Lionhires

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain backend services and microservices using Node.js and Nest.js.
- Build new features, APIs (REST/GraphQL/WebSockets) and third-party integrations with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Optimize performance and latency for high-load systems; tune SQL/NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL) for throughput and resilience.
- Implement messaging and caching solutions (Redis, RabbitMQ) for distributed workflows.
- Write clean, testable code and apply TDD practices; maintain CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and ensure operational readiness.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in web/backend development with at least 3 years hands-on with Node.js and Nest.js.
- Strong JavaScript (ES6+) skills; TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Proven experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases in high-traffic environments.
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL and WebSocket APIs and microservice architecture.
- Practical experience with Redis, RabbitMQ or similar messaging/caching systems.
- Good testing practices (TDD), Git and CI/CD workflows; strong communication skills in English.
- Bonus: containerisation (Docker), Kubernetes experience, and prior exposure to finance/gaming domains.
