Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and customer-facing features that align with product goals.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code; participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate closely with product, design and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and improve user experience.
- Solve operational challenges related to performance, reliability and real-time data flows.
- Improve developer experience, CI/CD and deployment practices; monitor and iterate on features in production.
- Share knowledge, mentor peers and help shape engineering culture and standards across the org.

Requirements:
- Senior-level software engineering experience (industrial experience consistent with a senior role; typically 5+–7+ years).
- Strong fundamentals in backend development and distributed systems; experience with Python and async frameworks preferred.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ and containerised deployments (Kubernetes/Docker) is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and building reliable, observable services in production.
- Good problem-solving, communication skills and a product-focused mindset; ability to take ownership and ship features frequently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and influencing technical direction and architecture.
