About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and own backend services and core financial integrations end-to-end.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend engineers, product managers and designers to deliver features.
- Ensure secure, fast transaction routing and protect customer funds through robust system design.
- Optimize performance, reliability and scalability across services (databases, APIs, infrastructure).
- Mentor peers, drive technical improvements and proactively propose architecture and process changes.
- Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform), and observable production deployments.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience (startup or fast-paced product environment preferred).
- Strong experience with relational databases and advanced PostgreSQL features (GIST, partitioning, replication).
- Practical working knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Comfortable working with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and production-grade CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Kotlin or readiness to adopt it for server-side development; strong language fundamentals.
- High attention to code quality, testing, security and production operational standards.

Responsibilities

You will work cross-functionally to develop new products and features while designing core financial integrations. You will also share your technical experience to drive innovation and suggest improvements across the engineering team.

Requirements

Candidates must have 8+ years of backend engineering experience in a fast-paced environment with strong knowledge of relational databases and cloud platforms. Proficiency in Kotlin is highly preferred, along with a commitment to high-quality, performant code.
