Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain highly available Java/Spring Boot microservices for partner integrations and payment flows.
- Apply domain-driven design to model correspondent banking and cash management domains.
- Build and operate event-driven systems using Kafka (or similar), ensuring reliable event processing and resilience.
- Architect and optimise relational schemas and queries in PostgreSQL for throughput and latency requirements.
- Collaborate with Implementation, Solutions Engineering, Business Development and Product to deliver partner onboarding and integrations.
- Champion platform quality: drive testing, observability, incident response and capacity planning.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers; participate in planning and cross-team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot in production microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or equivalent event/message systems and PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of DDD, event-driven design, scalability and resilience patterns.
- Experience integrating with external banking partners, APIs or payment networks is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, influence product and technical decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Focus on product-minded engineering: pragmatic trade-offs, prioritising reliability and delivery speed.
