Responsibilities:
- Lead backend and platform work for TLS Opus: evolve services, improve platform reliability and scalability.
- Design, build and ship AI-enabled capabilities using Python, modern ML/LLM tooling and vector databases.
- Drive platform-level improvements: microservices refactors, CI/CD, observability and cloud-native practices (containers, orchestration).
- Partner with product owners, architects and stakeholders to define technical direction and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and evangelise engineering excellence, automation and production ML best practices.
- Ensure 24x7 operational readiness: monitoring, incident response, capacity planning and reliability engineering.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience in backend engineering and distributed systems at scale (10+ years preferred).
- Strong Python skills and proven experience deploying ML/LLM systems to production (MLOps, vector DBs, embeddings).
- Solid cloud-native experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes and infrastructure automation.
- Deep system design and solution architecture skills; experience influencing stakeholders and cross-team priorities.
- Familiarity with observability, CI/CD, data pipelines and security/risk-aware delivery.
