About the role
Responsibilities:
- Redesign the mobile inspection app to match real-world workflows (gloves-on, one-handed use, offline-ready).
- Build systems that ingest voice notes, photos, and video and convert them into structured reports.
- Engineer how context is stored, fetched, and provided to AI models (standards, media, reports, user intent).
- Evolve the workflow builder and product architecture for unstructured data and offline/online parity.
- Run on-site experiments with inspectors, ship fast, iterate on feedback, and maintain production reliability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep technical skills and product ownership.
- Mobile experience (Expo or React Native) and strong TypeScript skills; Python experience is advantageous.
- Proven experience handling unstructured field data (voice, images, video) and integrating AI/context engineering.
- Background building offline-first systems and dealing with flaky networks and edge reliability.
- Comfortable with rapid shipping, on-site user research, and fast iteration cycles.
