About the role
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Joybuy backend systems to ensure high performance, availability, concurrency and security.
- Design and implement scalable APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot; optimise for throughput and latency.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies (monitorability, rollback/grey releases, maintainability).
- Research and evaluate new technologies; propose integrations that improve global system architecture and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, deliver and operate large-scale ecommerce features.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot, building backend services.
- Strong coding discipline, attention to clean design, testing and performance optimisation.
- Proactive problem-solver with good communication skills in English and Chinese; able to work independently and in teams.
- Experience or interest in large-scale ecommerce systems, observability and operational best practices is a plus.
