Site Reliability Engineer at Optiver

Responsibilities:
- Deploy, operate and continuously improve the reliability, scalability and performance of on‑prem trading infrastructure.
- Build automation for deployment, monitoring, alerting and incident response to reduce manual intervention.
- Manage market access components, monitoring pipelines, compliance tooling and trading automation services.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and fault diagnosis across distributed systems and networks.
- Work closely with traders, researchers and engineers to reproduce issues, prioritize fixes and deliver production-grade changes.
- Own runbooks, post‑mortems and reliability standards; drive preventative improvements.

Requirements:
- Strong experience with Unix/Linux systems and automation using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL), networking fundamentals and low‑latency operational concerns.
- Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills across OS, network and application layers.
- Background in infrastructure management, monitoring stacks and performance tuning for high-throughput systems.
- Practical mindset, clear communication and ability to work face-to-face with end users in a fast-paced environment.
