About the role

Responsibilities:
- Own large parts of the Client Insights Platform end-to-end: cloud processing pipelines, backend services and customer-facing dashboards.
- Make data processing reliable: self-recovering jobs, robust error handling and precise failure visibility.
- Improve throughput and latency: reduce time from landing to delivered insight for terabyte-scale flights.
- Ensure data quality: detect missing/corrupt inputs early and add automated checks and validation.
- Design for scale and cost: architect for fleet growth (regional → national → global), optimize compute/storage costs and decide cloud vs on-prem tradeoffs.
- Instrument systems: add logging, metrics and tracing to allow fast diagnosis and capacity planning.
- Collaborate across teams: work with embedded, operations, and product to close the loop from capture to customer action.

Requirements:
- Proven production experience in backend, cloud or data engineering working with large volumes of data.
- Strong coding skills (Python or equivalent) and experience with distributed processing, containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes or cloud equivalents).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), cost-control patterns and deployment/CI pipelines.
- Experience with databases, object stores, message systems and observability (metrics/tracing/logs).
- Practical mindset for reliability, testing, and performance tuning; can reason about failures across hardware, network and software.
- Good communication, ownership mentality and ability to ship end-to-end features quickly.
