About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design and build end-to-end TypeScript web platforms: APIs, services, data-access layers and frontend UI; set architecture and patterns.
- Architect durable workflows and long-running background processes using workflow orchestration (e.g., Restate/Temporal).
- Build reliable data pipelines between warehouses, databases and products; ensure scale, observability and privacy-by-design.
- Model large datasets for fast queries and visualisations; choose aggregations, pre-computations and storage across Postgres and BigQuery.
- Implement fast, interactive geospatial visualisations and render large location datasets on maps with attention to performance.
- Contribute to product roadmap, trade-offs and technical decisions; own performance, monitoring and reliability of shipped systems.
Requirements:
- 7+ years building SaaS or data-heavy platforms with strong TypeScript and Node.js experience.
- Proficiency with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js) and end-to-end platform engineering.
- Experience with Postgres and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and data modelling for analytics and visualisation.
- Practical experience designing privacy-aware systems (aggregation, anonymisation) and handling sensitive data.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and building long-running processes.
- Comfortable working across frontend and backend autonomously; strong communication and ownership mindset.
