Software Engineer - Automated Trading Systems at Optiver

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain the core infrastructural software that underpins low-latency automated trading systems.
- Collaborate closely with trading teams to translate trading requirements into robust, high-performance services and libraries.
- Optimize for latency, throughput and resource efficiency across CPU, memory and OS boundaries.
- Build and improve concurrency, synchronization and memory-management patterns for real-time processing.
- Produce clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews, design reviews and operational runbooks.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, perform profiling and performance tuning under realistic load.
- Contribute to system architecture, tooling and standards that enable safe, repeatable deployments.

Requirements:
- 4+ years software engineering experience with strong emphasis on systems-level work.
- Proficiency in C++ and Linux, or strong demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply them in production.
- Solid understanding of CPU architecture, concurrency models, memory models and low-level performance trade-offs.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and software architecture.
- Experience with testing, profiling, debugging and working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Clear communicator who can balance pragmatic delivery with long-term technical quality.
